Description

The General Administration of Houses of Justice is one of the five administrations of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (FWB). It supports victims throughout their judicial journey and, provides welcome, information and guidance, helping them understand procedures, access the right services and move through the justice process with dignity and care.

Our Joined Actions

As part of its network of partner organisations, the House of Justice supports Oasis Brussels in its role as a victim support service. Through this partnership, we are able to provide victims with social support, free first-line legal assistance and free psychological support tailored to their needs.

Description

Olista is a Brussels-based intersectoral centre that supports professionals dealing with cases of domestic and intrafamilial violence. It strengthens coordination between services, helps assess risk and needs, and facilitates referral towards the most appropriate social, legal, medical and psychological support.

Founded in Belgium in 1973, IOM offers holistic support to migrants, displaced persons, returnees, and host communities nationwide. This aid includes direct humanitarian assistance, recreational activities, and diverse initiatives.

As an IOM partner, Oasis Brussels can help organise repatriation through IOM’s services when someone wishes to return to their country of origin and it is safe for them to do so.

Description

Since 1994, Pag-Asa has supported victims and potential victims of human trafficking. It provides tailored support focused on recovery and reintegration, while also playing an active role in the fight against trafficking through cooperation, advocacy, training and awareness-raising.

Description

Goujonissimo is an integrated social and health centre with a broad and positive approach to health and wellbeing. Based in Anderlecht, it provides accessible, multilingual services and activities that support local residents and strengthen community life.

Our Joined Actions

Oasis Brussels has a partnership agreement with Goujonissimo that allows us to refer up to two patients per month to their centre. We have also held workshops at their medical centre as part of our collaboration.

Umbrella Refuge Commitee

Description

The Umbrella Refugee Committee (URC) is a refugee-led platform in Belgium, supported by UNHCR and coordinating nine independent refugee committees. It works to amplify refugee voices, strengthen refugee-led initiatives and promote more inclusive approaches to migration and integration.

Our Joined Actions

As part of our partnership, URC refers some of its beneficiaries to Oasis Brussels for additional support and access to our services. Together, we have also co-organised informational workshops for both their beneficiaries and ours.

Rainbow Refugee Committee

Description

As one of the nine independent committees of the URC, the Rainbow Refugee Committee (RRC) supports LGBTQIA+ people in Belgium who are affected by asylum and forced migration. Drawing on lived experience, it provides tailored support through mentoring, counselling, socio-legal guidance and referrals, while advocating for responses that are better adapted to their specific realities.

Our Joined Actions

Oasis Brussels has worked in close partnership with the Rainbow Refugee Committee on several cases involving trans women in the asylum system, helping to provide coordinated and appropriate support.

Description

The Community Kitchen is a community kitchen, based at Holy Trinity Brussels, and a project that aims to provide healthy, home-cooked meals to vulnerable people in Brussels. The team is often looking for help preparing meals.

The Community Kitchen cooks over 400 meals every day which are distributed through the red cross and other centers. Lots of Oasis beneficiaries have done volunteering at The Community Kitchen

Description

Serve the City is a global volunteer movement that connects people with local organisations and community projects in practical ways. Through its network, volunteers support a wide range of initiatives, including work with homeless shelters, refugee centres, orphanages and other services that provide care and support.

Oasis Belgium is a partner of Serve the City. Through this partnership, they help us connect with volunteers for our work, and we also refer beneficiaries who would like to take part in volunteering opportunities across the city.

Plateforme Prévention Sida is a French-speaking Belgian non-profit organisation working on the prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections in Brussels and Wallonia. Through awareness campaigns, outreach, training and support, it promotes sexual health, access to information and care, and the fight against discrimination affecting people living with HIV.

Met digibanken wil de Vlaamse overheid kwetsbare groepen meekrijgen in de digitaliseringsgolf. Dit project kadert binnen het relanceplan Vlaamse Veerkracht. Digibanken helpen het risico op digitale uitsluiting bij kwetsbare groepen te verkleinen via 3 doelstellingen: gelijke toegang, digitale vaardigheden versterken en een verbeterde digitale toegang tot essentiële diensten. Digibanken is een initiatief van het Departement Werk en Sociale Economie. Dit project wordt gefinancierd door de Europese Unie.Oasis VZW is een van de 14 partners in de Digibank Beringen, met Stad Beringen als promotor. Oasis zit in de stuurgroep en werkt nauw samen met de stad Beringen om de digipunten uit te bouwen tot laagdrempelige toegangspunten naar de Digibank. Oasis ondersteunt mee bij de uitleen en registratie van de laptops. Bezoekers van de digipunten worden naargelang de noden actief doorverwezen naar de juiste partners en signalen in verband met de digitale kloof worden in de stuurgroep doorgegeven. Oasis werkt mee aan het ontwikkelen en organiseren van de digisessies en het bekendmaken van het digitale aanbod via de digipunten en de mobiele koffiebar.

Description

Founded in 1996 by Khadidiatou Diallo, GAMS Belgium (Group for the Abolition of Female Genital Mutilation) fights against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and harmful practices affecting women and children. It's a collective of African and European individuals dedicated to abolishing FGM.

Our Joined Actions

Oasis Brussels took part in a major research project on FGM led by GAMS Belgium. As part of this collaboration, Oasis contributed research focusing on FGM affecting Asian women.

Oasis Global Network

Oasis Belgium is part of the international Oasis movement, a network of eight independent organisations united by a shared vision and common values. Oasis UK, founded over 40 years ago, supported the launch of the movement’s first international work in India in 1993, and Belgium joined the network in 2007.
